In my first writing contest ever (I think?), I won a prize! In Michy's 6-Word Story contest on the Accentuate Writers Forum, my entry "Mother sighs with baby's first cry" tied for second place. First place was rightfully won (and by a mile, I'm thinking) by Jean Riva with "Husband and dog for sale. Cheap!"

I don't think there were very many votes between first and second place. We are both honored by the voters and it could have gone either way---with you in the lead and me in second place. It was a fun contest, wasn't it.
